הכתבה אליה מתייחס מר לייפסיק בעדותו (הוגשה וסומנה נ/6), מתארת "מחלוקות קשות בעניין השליטה בעיתון ובקביעת מדיניותו". הכתבה מציינת כי קאנווסט פתחה בהליכי בוררות ואף נאמר בה במפורש כי: "החברה הקנדית טענה [במסגרת הבוררות] כי מרקעי תקשורת הפרה באופן חד צדדי את ההסכם לרכישה משותפת של "ג'רוזלם פוסט". הידיעה גם מפרטת כי לטובת חברת קאנווסט ניתן צו מניעה זמני בית המשפט בניו-יורק המונע ממרקעי תקשורת למכור או להעביר נכסים של קבוצת הפוסט. הכתבה מפרטת בפירוט רב את תוכנו של צו המניעה. כתבה זו היא היחידה, אולי, בסיפור כולו, המציגה את עמדת שני הצדדים, מפרטת את מהות הסכסוך, חילוקי הדעות בין הצדדים וההליכים המתנהלים. לא ניתן לתת אמון בעדותו של לייפסיק לפיה כתבה זו היא שהניעה את הנתבעים להתקשר עם מורל תקשורת רק לצורך הצגת הצד של קאנווסט, שכן כתבה זו מציגה באופן אובייקטיבי את טענות שני הצדדים.
הנתבעים הצהירו, כי ההוראות וההנחיות שנתנו למורל תקשורת היו להביא את הצד שלהם בסיפור לידיעת הציבור, כי הם לא אישרו כל פעולות אחרות מכל סוג שהוא וכי כאשר מורל תקשורת הציעה תכנית שכללה דברים אחרים, הם דחו אותה מכל וכל ובלשונם:
